Egalement appelé Ruby Red pour sa couleur ocre en tasse, ce thé noir taïwanais provient du cultivar #18 : un assemblage de théier Assamica et de oolong taïwanais Shan Cha. Il possède de grandes feuilles torsadées brunes et sa liqueur développe des arômes complexes, épicés (cannelle), fruités (prune), avec une note de queue fraîche faisant penser à la menthe. Un thé surprenant alliant le caractère des assams et la rondeur des oolongs.
Also called Ruby Red for its ocher color in cup, this Taiwanese black tea comes from cultivar 18 : it is a blend of Assamica tea tree and Shan Cha Taiwanese oolong. It has long twisted brown leaves and its liquor develops complex aromas, spicy (cinnamon), fruity (plum), with a base note reminiscent of mint. A surprising tea mixing the character of Assam teas and the roudness of the Oolong teas.
