Nouveau thé noir taïwanais : Hong Yu / New Taiwanese Oolong: Hong Yu

Également appelé Ruby Red pour sa couleur ocre en tasse, ce thé noir taïwanais provient du cultivar #18 : un assemblage de théier Assamica et de oolong taïwanais Shan Cha. Il possède de grandes feuilles torsadées brunes et sa liqueur développe des arômes complexes, épicés (cannelle), fruités (fruits rouges), avec une note de queue fraîche faisant penser à la menthe. Un thé surprenant alliant le caractère des assams et la rondeur des oolongs.

Also called Ruby Red because of its ocher colour in a cup, this Taiwanese black tea comes from cultivar #18: a blend of Assamica and Shan Cha Taiwanese tea tree. It has large brown twisted leaves, and its liquor develops complex aromas, spicy (cinnamon) and fruity (red berries), with a fresh note at last that reminds mint. A surprising tea that combines the Assam tea's character and the full body of oolong teas.

To Fully enjoy the aromas of your tea, it is essential to steep it with water at room temperature.

Take 10 to 15 grammes of tea leaves for 1 litre of water (a coffee spoon is equivalent to 2,5 grammes).

• green tea: steep 20 to 30 minutes
• oolong, black tea, rooibos, herbal tea: steep 45 minutes to 1 hour
• white tea: steep 1 hour and a half

You can add sugar, spices, plants or peels of fruits, for example.

To consume within 48 hours following the preparation.
